HighLevel offers a free trial on its three agency plans. The trial covers the subscription. It does not make phone, text, email, or AI usage free. This page covers what the trial includes, what you pay when it ends, and how HighLevel says to cancel.

Terms and prices below are from HighLevel’s public pricing page, its Pro trial page, and its help center on October 8, 2026. They can change. If anything here disagrees with HighLevel’s live pages, use the live pages.

Which plans the trial covers

HighLevel’s pricing page offers a 14-day trial on any of its three agency plans: Starter, Unlimited, and Pro. Each plan card says “Experience it for 14 Days FREE.” Enterprise is not part of the self-serve trial. The page asks you to speak with HighLevel’s enterprise team instead.

The pricing FAQ says the trial gives you full access to the features of the tier you chose, so you can set up the account, build funnels, and test automations before the first subscription charge.

The Pro plan has its own trial page. It says you are not billed anything on the day you sign up, and that after 14 days HighLevel charges the card on file unless you cancel. The Pro trial link in the box at the bottom of this page goes there.

What you are billed when the trial ends

HighLevel’s pricing page says billing begins automatically at the end of any free trial unless you cancel. What you pay after that is the price of the plan you signed up for. The pricing page shows a monthly and a yearly price for each plan:

Plan Price on the pricing page Sub-accounts and key extras
Agency Starter $97/month, or $970/year 3 sub-accounts. Unlimited contacts and unlimited users. 24/7 support is listed.
Agency Unlimited $297/month, or $2,970/year Everything in Starter, plus unlimited sub-accounts, rebilling for phone and email with no markup, and basic API access.
Agency Pro $497/month, or $4,970/year Everything in Unlimited, plus SaaS mode, automated sub-account creation, rebilling for phone and email with a markup, user and agent reporting, and advanced API access.

See HighLevel pricing for agencies for how to choose between the three plans.

Usage fees during the trial

HighLevel’s pricing page marks email and SMS marketing, inbound and outbound calling, Conversation AI, Voice AI, and Reviews AI as usage-based. Its disclaimer says usage-based fees for telecommunications or third-party services may apply during the trial. Free trial does not mean free text messages.

Usage is paid from an Agency Wallet. HighLevel’s pricing guide says the wallet is loaded by charging the agency’s card on file, and it is refilled automatically when the balance drops below your minimum. The same guide lists these rates:

  • Email: $0.675 per 1,000 emails, on all plans.
  • Phone and SMS: the LC Phone System is priced the same as Twilio, and rates vary by country and product.
  • AI: pay-per-use with no monthly fee, or an AI Employee plan at $50/month (Growth) or $97/month (Unlimited) for each enabled sub-account.

If you are only testing, keep phone numbers, text campaigns, and AI features small until you decide to keep the account.

How to cancel

HighLevel’s billing help article lists these steps for canceling an agency subscription:

  1. Go to Agency Settings and click Billing.
  2. Click “Want to modify/cancel your subscription?”
  3. Click Show More in the pop-up.
  4. Select Cancel Plan.
  5. Choose your reason for cancellation, then click Next.
  6. Review the data loss warning.
  7. Click “I am sure I want to cancel”.
  8. Give feedback (at least 30 words).
  9. Click Submit.

Submit is the last step, so finish the whole list. The same article says that if you bought access through another agency instead of directly from HighLevel, you have to ask that agency’s administrator. HighLevel cannot cancel an account another agency manages. If you cannot see the modify or cancel button, the article says to contact HighLevel Support through live chat.

HighLevel’s cancellation data article says canceled account data is kept for 90 days, and you can reactivate during that time. Phone numbers and A2P registrations are deleted 14 days after cancellation, and you keep paying for the phone numbers during those 14 days. Export anything you want to keep before you cancel.

Recommendation

Start the trial on the plan you would actually pay for. Choose Starter if three sub-accounts is enough, Unlimited if you will go past three, and Pro only if you plan to use SaaS mode. If “sub-account” is new to you, read HighLevel sub-accounts explained first. For a broader look at strengths and drawbacks, see the HighLevel review for agency owners.

Put the trial end date in your calendar the day you sign up, and decide before it arrives. If the other option is an email tool, read HighLevel vs ActiveCampaign. For agency setup, read HighLevel for agencies.
