How the Mishal Brands Score works
The Mishal Brands Score rates each AI tool from 0 to 10 using only public facts from the vendor’s own pages: pricing transparency, free access, business features, integrations and API, documentation, and published privacy terms. It is fact-based, not hands-on testing, and it does not rate output quality.

Quick answer
Six criteria add up to 10 points. Each point is tied to a fact anyone can check on an official page, and every tool page shows its breakdown. The full name is “Mishal Brands Score (fact-based, not hands-on testing)”.
What are the six criteria?
Each criterion has a fixed rule, so two people reading the same official pages should give the same points.
| Criterion | Max | How points are given |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing transparency | 2 | 2 = every plan has a published price. 1 = self-serve prices published, but at least one plan is quote-only or not shown. 0 = no public prices. |
| Free plan or trial | 2 | 2 = a free plan whose usage renews. 1 = a free trial, a one-time credit grant, or AI only as a trial. 0 = neither. |
| Business features | 2 | 1 point for a published team or business plan, 1 point for SSO named on an official page. |
| Integrations and API | 2 | 1 point for public API or developer documentation, 1 point for official integrations, connectors, or an MCP server. |
| Documentation and support | 1 | 1 = a public help center or documentation site, readable without signing in. |
| Privacy and data terms | 1 | 0.5 for a published privacy policy, 0.5 for an official statement on whether customer content is used to train AI models. |
What does the score not measure?
It does not measure how good a tool’s answers, images, or code are. Mishal Brands has not tested these tools hands-on, and the score is not a star rating or a review. A high score means a vendor publishes a lot of clear, checkable information. Facts we could not find or confirm earn no points, and the tool page says what was missing.

FAQ
Is the Mishal Brands Score a review rating?
No. It measures how much a vendor publishes about price, free access, business features, integrations, documentation, and data use. It is not based on hands-on testing and says nothing about output quality.
Where do the facts come from?
Only from official vendor pages: pricing pages, help centers, developer docs, privacy policies, and trust pages. Each tool page lists its sources and check date.
Do affiliate programs change scores?
No. Whether a vendor has an affiliate program is not a criterion, and affiliate links never add points.
How often are scores updated?
When a tool’s facts are rechecked, its score is recalculated and the check date changes.
