What is Manychat?
Manychat automates conversations on Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, TikTok, Telegram, SMS and email. Its Quick Automations send a DM with a link when someone comments a chosen word on a post or reel, and other triggers cover story replies, new followers and DMs. Pro and higher plans add Manychat AI, broadcasts and more channels. Manychat publishes an API (key in Settings, on certain paid plans) and integrations such as Zapier, Klaviyo, HubSpot and Google Sheets. Billing is by active contacts: one person you message in a month counts once.

How do you use Manychat to auto-send a link to people who comment on your post?
Here is a practical setup in 5 steps. It follows the features Manychat lists; it is not a hands-on test.
- Make sure your Instagram account is a professional account (Business or Creator). In Manychat, open Settings, select Instagram, click Connect and pick a method: Via Meta (recommended), Via Instagram, or Via Meta Business Suite.
- Open the Automations tab, select My Automations, click +New Automation and choose “Auto-DM links from comments” (you can also start it from the Start Here card on the Home tab).
- Choose which comments trigger it: a specific post or reel, any post or reel, or the next post or reel you publish (only one “next post” automation can run at a time).
- Set the words a comment must include, or allow any comment. Optionally add up to three public replies, which Manychat shuffles under each comment.
- Write the DM people receive, with up to three links. Optionally turn on the Opening DM, a follow check, an email request and a follow-up if the link isn’t clicked. Then click Go Live.

Manychat's pricing page says an active contact is a real person you interact with during a monthly billing period, through messages or automations. One person counts once a month no matter how many messages you exchange.

Yes. Manychat's help center says the Essential and Pro plans each include a 14-day free trial, and the pricing page shows a 14-day trial button on both.
Does Manychat have an API?
Yes. Manychat provides an API key on certain paid plans, generated in Settings, then API, and documents the methods in a Swagger reference. It also lists integrations such as Zapier, Klaviyo, HubSpot and Google Sheets.
