How do you use OpusClip to turn a long video into short clips?
Here is a practical setup in 5 steps. It follows the features OpusClip lists; it is not a hands-on test.
- Paste a link (YouTube, Zoom, Google Drive, Vimeo and more; it must be public or unlisted) or upload the video file.
- Set Clip Length before you submit. The default is Auto (0m to 3m); a prompt cannot control length.
- If your plan includes prompt-to-clip (the pricing page lists it on Pro), add a clear prompt in English, such as “Find the moments with strong opinions or surprising advice”. Say what you want, not what you do not want.
- Pick a caption Brand Template (font, color, position, logo). Set it up once, save it and apply it when you upload.
- Open a clip to fix captions, trim by selecting text and pressing Delete, or use Add a Section to try a stronger hook. Then download it or post it (direct posting needs a paid plan).
